My college doesn’t offer any health insurance and I don’t have much money. What should I do? I need to get my throat checked out.
A good cheap health insurance for a student?

If your college does not have a health service, go to the local county health clinic for the least expensive care. You will need to pay as it takes at least a week or more likely a month or more to get health insurance.
For the future find out if you can buy health insurance through the college or be covered on your parents’ health insurance plan if either of them has a health insurance plan. If neither of these insurance plans works, contact an independent insurance broker near the college. This broker should be one who sells policies from many companies and is familiar with inexpensive policies for students. Do not contact the broker when you are sick. If the broker hears or sees that you are sick, you may be charged more.
